4th IAF Africa Facilitators Conference Postponed

Regretfully the organising committee have decided to postpone this years' IAF event until October 2010.

This is due in part to the international board meeting that was due to take place immediately before the conference being cancelled and partly due to the prevailing economic conditions.

Next years' IAF Conference will be held on Wednesday and Thursday 6 & 7 October 2010 and will be preceded by an IAF Certification event on Tuesday 5 October 2010 at the same venue, Ocean View Hotel, Strand, Cape Town South Africa.

We will make contact with you again in February next year to see if you are interested in participating.

IAF Global Conference Update!

IAF Europe Conference 2009

Great opportunity for IAF Africa members and non-members... attend the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) Europe Conference in Oxford, United Kingdom from the 18th to 20th September 2009. The Conference will be held at Keble College set amongst the historic 'Dreaming Spires' of the famous university city of Oxford.

Good news is that the IAF Europe Facilitator's Conference still has openings available. Please see attached the the IAF Europe Conference Flyer, Booking Form and some information about travel. Bookings may also be completed online at the IAF Europe Conference website at www.iaf-europe-conference.org.

When you link into the website you will be able to view the complete conference programme together with a schedule of pre-conference events which take place over 16th, 17th and 18th September. The conference proper will start on Friday 18th September.

The conference will take place at Keble College, Oxford where delegates will have full board and accommodation on campus for the single (all inclusive) delegate fee. If delegates would like to arrive early or stay late they may book Keble College rooms on a bed and breakfast basis through www.oxfordrooms.co.uk (remember to select Keble college). Keble will make sure that people will stay in the same room for the duration of their stay – before – during – after..

The booking Form and website only have two basic options available – Member or Non-Member in an en-suite room.

Twin rooms are available for which the second person has a discount of £75.90 on the normal conference fee. We also have shared facility bedrooms at the reduced conference fee of £516.35 (Members) however, these are single occupancy only.

The Southern Africa Facilitator's Network (SAFNET) is a professional association body, affiliated to the IAF, has been established since 2003 to promote, support and advance the art and practice of facilitation in Southern Africa. We have a growing and active membership of over 50 members from all parts of South Africa, Zimbabwe, Maritius, Mozambique, Botswana and Namibia. Our members attend regular professional development events held in both Johannesburg and Cape Town as well as participate the Annual IAF Africa Conference held every year.
